This is the stage when you check everything’s there - then put it back in the box for another 25 years... Sounds like you have not yet quite fully got the model mania bug yet... Another 25 years should either confirm or refute this fact. Patients is a virtue...✈️😡 PS - As at this very moment - with the snow - you will need to fit snow skis. Justin had them in stock at Rapid RC but I know Keith has bought a few pairs recently so you need to check stock.
Already done that bit twice b4... put back in box as there is no instructions!!! ;) Thrown the box now so will just sit there till i do something with it ;) Repositioned receiver in the cougar so hopefully range check and maiden will go ok next time we get a break in the weather :)
Shame the snow has melted - if anyone is considering fitting snow skies Justin has them BUT check first as Keith has already had a few. Remember they are sold individually not as pairs. These don’t go brittle in the cold so can be used year after year... See below...
The Quanum R/C Snow Ski is made of high strength non-coloured Nylon that wont get brittle in cold weather.. It can be used on variety of planes and comes with a spare spring for left/right conversions. It is very simple to install with all required hardware included and the specially designed fin ensures straight tracking and less yawing during landing and takeoff. An excellent addition to any .40 or .60 size or larger R/C plane.
Nice move Speedy,no ready to fly planes when I was young , it was all 'balsa bashing' starting with simple model kits that were affordable and then after about three years of aero-modelling the purchase of a free flight power model that took a 0.75cc engine.Glues used were Balsa Cement,Tissue paste and Epoxy and coverings were light and heavy weight tissue, silk and nylon,all of which had to be clear doped. You lads have got it easy these days with Cyno glues and shrink fit coverings. Best of luck with the Cliff Whacker!
