Cougar finally escapes the dustbin!

Here we are then 12 days after the crash the Cougar is ready for hand- over to Paul. I could have delivered it today at the Scale competition but cannot drive due to a knee injury caused by a shopping trip to Waitrose. If you need the plane urgently Paul, I am only 52 miles in Sanderstead Croydon.

Best of luck you scalers!

When you get her back Paul, please take better care of her this time.

Mike I reckon that in 1957 that red covering was about 6 shillings and 4 pence a yard.
Am I close ?

You are miles out Slip in those days you could buy two keil Kraft model kits for that money, and if you were short of covering tissue you could use doped loo paper as it had become available after World War 2. However doped nylon and silk were the favoured covering materials for larger models or heavy weight or light weight model span tissue for a reasonable cost.

As for the red covering it was left over from the repair of a black Horse Super Air I was given. I finished mending the plane and thought I would pass my A-test first before flying it. However that was two years and I am still A-less and almost hopeless!

Mike don't run yourself down i've seen u flying and how much u enjoy it.. "A" is easy to get, flying u can do its a bit like us if we had to do another car test sure we would all need to practice first!! When your knees better pop down to the field in the week and just practice the test circuits. Be great to get your "A" eh :) u can fly just practise the test :)
Hopefully see u back in action soon thx again for all u done for me repairing the cougar you a star :) Don't worry about getting it back to me just yet get your knee better i still got planes to have fun with :) speedy recovery Regards Paul.
